South Maui Marine Science Class for Young Children

South Maui Homes and Condos

By Mark Harbison

If you are the parent of a child between the ages of 3 and 5, and you'd like to introduce them to the wonders of Maui's marine life, the Pacific Whale Foundation is offering four classes and a "Seafari" field adventure based on a marine science theme for just that age range.

The program has affectionately been named SeaWees: "Mighty Minis" and this is its 7th year in operation. Classes take place on Wednesday mornings and include music and movement demonstrations that are tailored to a young child's understanding. Though these demonstrations, your Mighty Mini will learn about clever predators and how numerous marine creatures survive.

The upcoming session of classes will take place between September 7th and October 28th. Parents or guardians must accompany their children, and closed-toed shoes are a requirement. The cost for all five weeks is just $50 total. If you are a member of the Pacific Whale Foundation, the cost is only $40. If you'd just like to jump into single class sessions, the cost is $12. If you enroll additional kids, their attendance is half off. Space is limited so you should reserve early.

If you need more information, you can call (808) 249-8811 ext. 1. What better location could there be for these classes than South Maui, where the Pacific Whale Foundation is located? There are some stunning beaches in that area, and if you are browsing around for Maui real estate in Ma'alaea, we'd love to assist you. We specialize in South Maui real estate, so whether you are looking for Wailea homes or Kihei condos, we are happy to help. You'll find our contact information at the bottom of the page. Mahalo!
