Stand Up Comedy Night in South Maui

South Maui Home

By Mark Harbison

Looking for a diversion for a Saturday night? If you happen to live here, the great thing about venturing out of your South Maui home is that there's always plenty of interesting entertainment around the corner. If you haven't made the move to Maui, we recommend it. You might be surprised at how vibrant and busy a Maui lifestyle can be. The truth is, you never know what will come up on the calendar next. This time, there's a stand up comedy night that will take place at the Stella Blues Cafe on July 21st.

The He & She Show is presented by Power Up Comedy, and was designed as a comedy date night. Just because you're dating doesn't mean you don't have kids, so there's a family friendly show at 8pm, with a PG-13 rating. The Naughty Show isn't until 10pm.

As you've probably guessed, the theme of the humor in this stand up show is based on relationships and all the crazy and hilarious situations that we tend to run into. In fact, for most of us, it'll probably be hard not to relate. It's based on The He & She Show on the mainland, which was well received and successful. The comedians are Doug Wyckoff and Teresa Sickels. It will also feature King Martin, Jose Solorazno, Corky Gardner and Oahu's Erika Swartzkopf. It's being hosted by Maui's Sunny Dennis and presented by PowerUpComedy.com.

Another perk is that entry is very affordable. You can get tickets here for $10 per person in advance, or pay $15 at the door. We hope you have fun, and enjoy a lot of laughs with your date!
