When you live on Maui, you have access to a dynamic, multi-faceted community that's full of collaborative, enthusiastic minds. No matter what your interests, there are people here who share them. For example, if you're interested in becoming a part of the local food scene, there's an upcoming event that might interest you. It's the Maui Food Technology Center's 1st Annual Supply and Service Expo.
This is the perfect opportunity for those interested in food production to network, share their knowledge, and learn how to overcome obstacles to getting their products into the marketplace. If you're not interested in producing food yourself, it's also a great opportunity to check out the tradeshow and see what the latest developments are in food manufacturing, distribution and hospitality industries.
The tradeshow will feature national, state and local service providers who will share about manufacturers and distributors of food, along with ingredients, equipment and packaging supplies, etc. You'll find business services and educational groups that work in the food and hospitality industries as well as entrepreneurs and existing businesses that are developing their brand identity with help from marketing industry professionals.
There is no admission fee to this expo. Just show up and get ready to take notes or simply observe all the new and fascinating developments surrounding food production.
The expo will be held at Upcountry, about a half hour from our South Maui real estate hub, at the Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani on February 26 from 10am-3pm. If you need more information, visit www.MauiFoodTechnology.org or call (888)-948-6382.
We hope you have an enriching experience! Mahalo for reading this week, and don't forget to check in each Friday for our latest Maui lifestyle and events blog. Have a great weekend!
