You'll find that when you're living on Maui the holiday season is always full of interesting, enriching events that continue to make our lovely island a wonderful place to live. The upcoming fundraiser bazaar for The Bailey House Museum is one such event. They call it "E Palama Mau 'O Maui," meaning "Cherish Maui's History."
The Bailey House Museum is in Wailuku, about a half-hour away from our South Maui homes. For those looking for a stimulating day out among like-minded people who appreciate Maui's unique history, it will be well worth the drive.
You can do some holiday shopping from local arts & crafts vendors with all their unique items, or search for good gifts at the Museum Gift Shop. There will be a keiki zone where the kids can play, along with arts & crafts demonstrations to keep them entertained. There will also be a silent auction. As with any good Maui event, there will of course be food booths with tasty fare to enhance your enjoyment of the day.
The long list of entertainers for the event include Homestead, Ikaika Blackburn, Uluwehi Guerrero, 'Ahumanu, Lei'ohu Ryder, George Kahumoku, Richard Hoopi'i, Leipono, and Emcee Kaena Brown & Kalani Pe'a.
The event will take place from 9am-5pm tomorrow, which is Saturday, November 29th. Tickets are only $10 in advance and $15 at the door. We hope you have a wonderful time full of good holiday cheer! Mahalo for reading this week!
