One of the perks to buying South Maui real estate is that interesting events are at your fingertips all year round. For example, the 3rd Annual Book Trust Extravaganza is coming up on March 14th. This year's theme is Casino Royale. All the proceeds from this lively fundraiser will support the Book Trust's wonderful efforts to help our island's keiki (children) develop strong literacy skills, empowering them for a life of learning.
Their efforts are focused on keiki from low-income families that would otherwise have a more challenging time acquiring learning materials. Last year, the organization helped 5,100 keiki in Hawaii. These keiki's literacy levels increased by 30 percent.
True to this year's Casino Royale fundraiser theme, guests will get to enjoy the excitement of a Las Vegas casino, but in the elegant atmosphere that Wailea provides. The event will be hosted at Mala Wailea at the Wailea Mariott Resort and Spa, which is poised on a stunning piece of oceanfront South Maui property that will add enchanting beauty to the experience. The venue will have numerous popular casino games for you to play, and there will also be a silent auction with top notch items. Delicious cuisine will be provided by acclaimed chef Sheldon Simeon, complemented by an open bar. It's going to be a fun party, and it'll be full of people who enjoy supporting the education of their community's keiki.
What better way to enjoy your Saturday evening than participating in this exciting fundraiser? How often do you get to play casino games on Maui? Between the casino theme and the open bar, you can bet this won't be a stodgy affair!
Held at Mala Wailea at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, this event will take place from 5:30-9pm. Tickets are on sale for $150. Visit www.booktrust.org for more information on this event, and to purchase your tickets. You can also learn more about the good work that this organization performs.
