Seven Maui Resorts Make Traveler’s Choice Top 20 List

October 25, 2013

The Conde Nast Traveler’s list of the Top 20 Hawaii Resorts came out recently. This feature of the Reader’s Choice Awards revealed that the Four Seasons Resorts claimed the top four spots on the list, with Maui’s Four Seasons at Wailea ranking at number 3 with 94.7 points.

While the top spot went to the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Big Island with a score of 95.4, and the second spot went to the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, The Lodge at Koele with a score of 95.3, Maui managed to earn seven spots on the top twenty list, which was more than any of the other islands. Three Oahu resorts made the list, while there were two on Lanai, three on Kauai and five on the Big Island.

This year’s number of reader’s choice participants hit a new record of just under 80,000 people, so these evaluations are worth taking seriously if you really want to know what visitors think. About 1.3 million votes were cast by these participants, from all around the world.

The winning Maui resorts were Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea at No. 3 with a score of 94.8, the Fairmont Kea Lani at No. 8 with 90.4, the Honua Kai Resort & Spa at No. 10 with 90.2, Wailea Beach Villas at No. 11 with 90.0, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua at No. 13 with 88.0, the Grand Wailea at No. 17 with 86.7, and the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa at No. 18 with 86.5.

Four out of these seven winners are located on stunning oceanfront properties in South Maui.
