Your Guide to the Best Shopping in Maui

August 10, 2018

Whether you are a lucky full-time island resident, part-time condo owner, or on a Maui MLS search for your perfect home, there’s always so much to consider.  But one of the most important factors to consider while living or moving here is where to find the best shopping for your needs. From home decor and furnishings for your new house to finding that perfect outfit for the first day at a new job or clothing for the keiki as they head back to school.

If you’re on the hunt for the best shopping in Maui then please read on. We have compiled a list of some of the best places to go in Maui for shopping that way you don’t have to stress when you find the perfect area of Maui to call home. So grab your wallet and get ready to shop until you drop.

1.Queen Kaahumanu Center: Located in the heart of Kahului near Maui’s main airport is this beautifully-designed shopping center that is complete with clothing stores, electronic shops, an arcade, Macy’s and more! While this might not be the place to go to purchase handmade Hawaiian items for gifts for loved ones back home, it’s definitely worth checking out if you have a couple hours to kill and are looking for something to wear out to dinner later that night.

2.Shops of Wailea: Few shopping experiences on Maui will compare to the Shops of Wailea. Located in Maui’s luxurious southside town of Wailea, the Shops of Wailea have high-end shops to meet your designer lifestyle. Looking for a new Prada purse or Gucci bag? You’re sure to find it here.

3.Whalers Village: If you’re going to be hanging out along Maui’s west side then make sure you stop by Whalers Village. With plenty of shopping for kids and adults and restaurants such as Merriman’s and Hula Grill, you can make an entire evening out of this shopping adventure.

4.Outlets of Maui: The Outlets of Maui offer high-end and hard-to-find goods at affordable prices. You can find the stores at the Outlets of Maui near Lahaina’s famous Front Street.

5.Maui Central hubs: Whether you think you’ll be hanging around Kihei or strolling Maui’s west side beaches, there’s plenty of little-hidden stores to find locally-made and designed products. In Lahaina, check out the stores along Front Street for Hawaii-made goods, and if you’re in Kihei, we recommend the Kihei Kalama Village. Downtown Wailuku also has a handful of mom and pop shops including Native Intelligence and Maui Thing where you can find items you can’t get anywhere else.
